Тренинг курсът ще бъде през периода 15-22.08 2022 с включени дни за пътуване и ще пътуват от България 4 участници на възраст над 18 години- няма горна граница на възрастта.

training course on different aspects of active citizenship and social entrepreneurship through volunteering and how to use digital youth work to create opportunities for career progress in youth work activities after COVID19

Themes of the training course:
We explore different aspects of active citizenship, volunteering, social entrepreneurship and discuss how to use digital youth work to create opportunities for career progress within youth work activities after COVID19.
Active citizenship: role of volunteers, impact on career and CV building up. The participants discuss what is the role of volunteers and history of volunteering in their countries within youth work activities. We identify the reasons and motivation of volunteering, and use Romanian example as the best practice. We take one particular area – working with Roma community – that achieved fantastic results in Romania and left behind many other European countries. The participants will have opportunities to make interviews with those who already is involved in volunteering (Romanian volunteers and the participants from Roma communities). Then we prepare a list of opportunities available and ways to gain experience and progress into job through volunteering.
Mapping local voluntary youth organisations, their activity, and analyse their marketing strategy, analysing their digital youth work context such as websites, blogs, vlogs, etc. and how they use social media to promote their work. This exercise will give the participants knowledge about their local area and will be able to analyse how this local situation and activity around match with their interests as well as what is the needs of local voluntary youth organisations and how the participants’ skills and knowledge can be used in social life of their community.
Digital youth work: the participants discuss and analyse the role of social media, how it can be used for communication, career and job hunting as well as how young people can use their skills in social media to help local voluntary youth organisations. There will be session about social media role in successful career progress and businesses. Basic knowledge of social entrepreneurship will be introduced, and the participants will be able to explore different ways how social entrepreneurship can help to tackle local problems and benefit local community.
Personal capacity analyse, exploring motivation and desired career: the participants focus on analytical model how to assess capacity, needs and a way to career progress. The different methods will be used: group work, storytelling, brainstorms and round-table discussion. We will also focus how to sale skills and knowledge. Basic knowledge of social entrepreneurship will be introduced, and the participants will have the opportunities to explore different ways how social entrepreneurship and active citizenship can help to tackle local problems and benefit local community.
The overall aim of the training course is to improve digital competences and tools of youth workers, youth leaders in order to invent participatory youth voluntary work methods and techniques online and offline that increase young people awareness of how use their digital skills and knowledge to benefit local community as well as for career prospects and, therefore, to prepare a pathway for employment or self-employment.
Learning objectives of the training course are:
To discover the potential of use multimedia and other digital resources to promote work of local youth voluntary organisations;
To improve the level of digital competences and skills in media area of youth workers and through them young people they work with;
To gain skills in creating of practical advert and marketing materials in multimedia, increase digital skills and creativity of youth workers, youth leaders after detailed analyse of work of local youth voluntary organisations;
To develop digital skills of youth workers, youth leaders: solution fluency (i.e. capacity and creativity in solving problems), information fluency (e.g. ability to access information, ability to retrieve information), collaboration fluency (e.g. teamwork with virtual or real partners) and media fluency (e.g. ability to evaluate the message in a chosen media).
To establish a virtual network in order to support each other’s local and European youth voluntary activities.
The methodology and programme flow of the training course:
During 8 days, we explore different aspects of active citizenship, volunteering, entrepreneurship and discuss how to use digital youth work to create opportunities for career progress. The programme will be designed in accordance with objectives and the identified needs of participants.
The programme will be based on non-formal educational principles and is divided into 6 areas:
– introductions and group building. The group/team building exercise will be included in the programme regularly as this is important point for this activity;
– personal capacity analyse, motivation and desired career progress;
– active citizenship: role of volunteers, impact to career and CV building up;
– mapping youth voluntary organisations, marketing strategy, support of local youth voluntary organisations using newly gained digital competences and skills;
– development of individual strategies and planning of participants’ follow-up of the training course;
– follow-up, evaluation (during and after the activity stage) and dissemination results.
The Introduction will include an official opening ceremony, announce a programme, introduction of a support team and participants. This part will consist of official presentation and exercises and activities to create positive atmosphere and help the participants get to know each other, to find common ground and build positive relationship.
The 2nd part ‘Personal capacity analyse, motivation and desired career’: to make successful career progress, the participants should know their capacity. On this stage, we will focus on analytical model how to assess capacity, needs and way to career progress. The different methods will be used: group work, workshops, simulation game, brainstorms and round-table discussion. We will also focus how digital youth work can help into job and sale the skills and knowledge. Basic knowledge of social entrepreneurship will be introduced, and the participants will be able to explore different ways how social entrepreneurship can help to tackle local problems and benefit local community.
The 3rd part will focus on volunteering, and its importance to career progress and building up CV. The participants will discuss what is the role of volunteers and history of volunteering in their countries within youth work organisations and activities.
The 4th part will be interactive and practical. The participants will map local youth voluntary organisations, their activity, and analyse their marketing strategy, analysing their digital youth work context such as websites, blogs, vlogs, etc. and how they use social media to promote their work. This will give the participants knowledge about their local area (sometimes people do not realise what is going on around them) and will be able to analyse how this local situation and activity around match with their interests as well as what is the needs of local youth voluntary organisations and how the participants’ skills and knowledge can be used in social life of their community. Four different aspects of the work of chosen local youth organisations will be analysed: awareness building, fundraising, advocacy and stakeholder engagement. To increase creativity and entrepreneurship, the participants will be offered to create Ideas Bank to help the chosen local youth voluntary organisations.
After selection of the local youth voluntary organisations, we will do practical virtual Action Lab: the participants will be able to chose one local youth voluntary organisation and one focus area (from 4 aspects they analysed: fundraising, awareness, etc.) and prepare interactive material/ presentation that this youth voluntary organisation could use. On this stage the participants will learn how to put their ideas and skills into practical work through digital youth work context.
The 5th part is a development of individual strategy and follow – up activity that the participants can do after the project. This stage includes personal assessment done by the participant as well as group discussion and peer learning. Through this exercise, the participants will increase their analytical and planning skills to develop their own strategy for career progress, using media platforms as a base.
The 6th part of the project includes a final evaluation and dissemination results. Ongoing evaluation will be done during the activity stage regularly, but the final evaluation will be in the end of the activity.
Who can participate in the training course:
- Youth workers, youth leaders who directly work with young people and represent youth voluntary organisations;
- Youth workers, youth leaders who would like to improve digital youth work of their youth organisations and make their youth work more visible in social media;
- Youth workers, youth leaders, who would like to be part of a virtual network and support each other’s local and European youth work;
- Ready to take part in the whole training course;
- To be able to communicate English language.
